Balance… soooo important in tango and yet soooo frustrating! Isn’t it?!?
It took me years to be able to dance in close embrace without losing my balance (because I got ahead of myself and stopped going to close after six months, ahem, then spent a fortune on private lessons to compensate for lost times…)
Anyway, a good teacher will help you with your balance, and there are plenty to do to be more stable in the dance – from posture to relaxation to core muscles to mindset, etc…
one of the tips that helped me the most is the one I explain below.
It all has to do which how much ‘space’ you take on the floor.
‘Take more space, ladies!’, is my advice.
